Ah Ha !!! Dah habis pun Miss Universe 2009 !!! One of my favourite show. Dan inilah pemenangnya Stefania Fernandez, 18 dari Venezuela. Stefania telah mencipta sejarahnya tersendiri, maybe Venezuela itself apabila mempertahankan takhta 2 tahun berturut-turut bagi Venezuela tercinta. The first time ever in Miss Universe's history !!! Congrats Stefania !!!
Tapi, recently kemenangan Stefania menjadi buah mulut orang. Well, living in a cyber world suka gak buat research tentang apa yang berlaku. Comments from people, there are pros & cons. But surely for a globally televised live show, memang sure banyak mulut jahat yang mengata. Yang menjadi buah mulut semestinya kemenangan kali kedua Venezuela yang disandang oleh Stefania yang sebelumnya menjadi milik Dayana Mendoza (what a beauty !!!). Ramai yang mengatakan bahawa kemenangan ini telah dirancang. Ada jugak mulut yang mengatakan ini adalah atas permintaan Dayana sendiri kepada Donald Trump, pemilik Miss Universe Organization agar dia dapat memahkotakan gadis dari negaranya sendiri.
Well, sejak Donald menjadi pemilik organisasi tersebut, memang ramai yang mengatakan acara itu menjadi semakin tidak telus dan hanya mengaut keuntungan dan komesial semata-mata. For me, for a show like that commercial values is very much important. Kalu tak, takkanlah acara itu disaksikan hampir 1 bilion manusia setiap tahun. Logic, isn't it. But, dari segi penjurian. I still think that it is still relevant. Average points were shown to the viewers on TV. So, what should be argued for ???
Ada pulak yang mempersoalkan marakah yang Stefania dapat untuk layak menjadi Top 5. Markah Stefania merupakan yang paling rendah. So what ? Riyo Mori Miss Universe 2007 jugak begitu. The final question that counts, guys !!! Ada jugak yang argue pasal jawapan yang Stefania bagi semasa final round. Huhu. I thought that was a silly point to argue. People said that she didn't answer the question. I think that happened almost every year to almost all the finalists. Imagine answering a very subjective question in front of a big crowd in a live televised show broadcasted all over the word watched by 1 billion viewers. Snap !!! At the same time, still remain calm & poise. That's a hard thing to do. Believe me, saya pun ikut jugak pertandingan that we have to talk spontaniously in front of people. Even berapa puluh orang jak pun yang tengok, gagar jugak kaki. Walaupun Stefania memang tak jawab soalan sebenarnya (I admit it too !!!), the most important thing is to stay calm, be confident & give the best answer in that limited 30 seconds !!!
So, I guess Stefania deserves the crown. Walaupun pada mulanya I hope it's Kosovo. But, after looking back at the show for a few times. I think Venezuela gave the most convincing answer plus the elegant beauty. Yeah, Stefania Fernandez is the right Miss Universe 2009.
Congrats again, Stefania !!! Hope you'll have a wonderful reign.
p/s Sad though because there were no asians in the Top 15. Better luck next year maybe ???
